The Neverhood was a PC point-and-click interactive created by Doug TenNapel's The Neverhood, Inc. and published by DreamWorks Interactive. It's composed of claymation. It's a practical combination of amazing animation, great music, a beautiful plot, cool gameplay and arrangement. We—Pyroneous—love the game so much that we've decided to create an adapter for the game. As it was published in 1996, it was created for Windows 95. Our goal is to create a compatible installer for Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems with improved video/sound quality. We're doing more than just 'making it compatible.' There's more to this bargain. We're also restoring Grim Fandango and other great 80s/90s games. Yeah, okay, LucasArts released a patch for Grim Fandango, but there's nothing for Linux! We do all kinds of things. More information? Pyroneous doesn't "hack" the Neverhood, contrary to popular belief. We simply create an adapter. It's simple. The Neverhood can't run on its own in newer operating systems, such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8. Not only that, it can't run on any Macintosh or Linux operating systems. To your advantage, the Neverhood Restoration Project creates a bridge between the world of Windows 95 to your operating system. Not only that, we actually better the gameplay, which also doesn't require hax. We just add in our own little audio codec tweaks at runtime and revert them right back after the game ends. I mean, we're doing more than just the Neverhood, too. How great can it get? 100% licit & permissible, free, and no tricks. However, we do accept donations.
